The week that was

As some of my regulars know, I hardly ever leave the house because of my illness, and so when I get an opportunity to do soI certainly make the most of it.  It was also the first enjoyable weekend I have had in a long time.  On Friday it was the monthly Presbyterian church clothing sale in Gardens, but I decided to source in another area.  I am fortunate that there are several means to thrifting within a few minutes from my home.  On Saturday, it was Huis Zonnekus' mini bazaar and these are the items I could get for under R100:
A milk tart (the most delish I have ever tasted nogal)
Two homemade steak pies
A brand new genuine leather Woolies belt
A brooch
Four items of clothing for myself - all Marien Hall
Seven gift packs consisting of amongst other things, Charlotte Rhys body lotion.  Now that's bargain shopping at its best, if you ask me?  On Sunday, we went to Canal Walk for the bridal fair and popped in for a quick breakfast at the Spur. which is on special for R19.95.  Although not normally my cup of tea, it was definitely my cup of coffee so to speak and well worth it.  I always love browsing through the displays at the fair, as there are always pretty, girly vintage influences.  I took some pics of some of my favorites as well as what I wore.
